THE OPPORTUNITY


In this key role, an Allegiance Merchant Services?Business Sales Consultant / Relationship Manager?is primarily responsible for selling merchant payment processing/non-cash payment solutions (including Visa, Amex, Discover, MasterCard, checks, gift cards, eCommerce, etc.) and the corresponding hardware and software. This is a B2B hybrid hunter sales and bank referral relationship role and the ideal candidate will have an excellent track record of prospecting and closing new business.


This person is responsible for the production and development of Merchant Services opportunities for both new and existing bank business customers serviced by the branches or Business Banking Officers (BBO?s). You will work closely with the assigned branches and BBO?s to identify Merchant Services opportunities and participate in joint calls with the Branch managers and BBO?s. You will be responsible for developing relationships with key branches and banking officers and managers in order to build, grow, and sustain Merchant Services business or other product and services offered by Allegiance Merchant Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

?


  • Exceed weekly and monthly sales objectives

  • Conduct outbound prospecting in-person and by phone; schedule prospective customer appointments; present solutions and cost-savings analysis

  • Identify customer needs/requirements and match those needs to corresponding Allegiance Merchant Services? products and services that will meet and exceed the customer?s expectations

  • Analyze financial statements

  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge and understanding of the acquiring / credit card industry and Allegiance Merchant Services products and solutions

  • Maintain awareness of all new developments of products, services, internal changes in policy, technology and sales initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

?


  • 3-5 years outside sales experience. Selling experience should include cold calling and referral based selling, preferably business to business

  • Knowledge of merchant services, credit card industry, and banking services is a plus, but not required

  • Experience preferred: Credit card processing, merchant services, mortgage lending, banking, cash advance, telecom and insurance

  • Self-motivated and able to achieve sales goals

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience in contract negotiations, proposals, and presentations

  • Proven ability to develop new sales streams with a strong track record in sales goal achievement

  • Results driven, well organized with strong follow up skills

  • Sell products & services based on customer needs

  • Ethical & honest

  • Strong closing capability

  • Ability to develop & maintain strong business relationships

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
